Cheat-master30's Broken Nintendo DS Console Tale

Over the six or so months that I have had a DS Lite instead of a normal DS, I have not done anything that would have broken it, but in a turn of events somewhat quite like those of nickyivyca's, the hinge problem has turned up on my console for no darn reason.

Broken DS with near detached top screen

First of all, as you can clearly see, the top screen of the DS Lite is now almost completely off the bottom half of the console, and can near enough be folded in any real way possible. Despite this, for a decent time after the incident I could actually play the DS games on the console in pretty fine condition, but for some reason, it has quite recently just totally broke and all communication lost between the DS console itself and the top screen, so any games on the DS I'm pretty much now forced to play on the touch screen alone.

No R button on DS Lite, exposed circuit board

Secondly, as shown by the next two pictures and the seperate cap, the R button is completely broken and utterly unusable. This of course is very, very annoying, since it prevents me from even power sliding in Mario Kart DS/Super Circuit, long jumping, back flips or crouching in Mario 64 DS, making Wario shoulder barge in Wario Land 4 or shooting in Metroid Prime Hunters. This means I cannot now play any games I enjoyed to any standard that allows me to get through 99.9% of the levels, including my favourite ones.

On another note, you can actually see the power light and the circuit board for the DS behind the gap, which cannot be very good for your health to be exposed. Looks pretty cool though.

And in terms of how much this ruined my gaming? Quite a bit. I can't make any more codes until I get a new DS (Action Replay DS codes), or find new glitches, or find more DS techniques to put on the main website nor play many of my favourite games due to this likely technical fault in the DS console's design by Nintendo. Imagine that, running a Nintendo DS fan site and having a broken Nintendo DS that cannot play any games! The irony is already annoying me.

Note: This is ages ago, and I now have a red DS Lite.  If you were going to talk about how I could fix the console, it's a bit too late now.
