Super Mario 64 DS AR Quantifier Digits
With the new firmware upgrade for the DS Action Replay, you can now edit and create your own codes directly to the device. Because of this, I can now share some new codes and stuff for effects Codejunkies will not have told you about such as how to hack the red coin code and the side effects.
Note that all codes are based on the official ones and for the European Action Replay device with a PAL version of the game.
The Original Code
This code is the original one for setting the number of red coins after holding L R and select. It originally gives you seven red coins, but can be made to give any number that is theoretically possible to achieve.

Effects of High Red Coin Amounts
If you have it on the default 7 in Snowman's Land, and get two coins from the igloo, the game will crash with a loud tearing sound. Don't worry though, this does NOT effect the condition of the game itself.
If you have 9 coins beforehand and get coins, the game will NOT crash when you collect another. Instead, the details listed below will occur.
First, 'secret' numbers (such as those from the secrets of shallows and sky star in Wet-Dry World) will increase with each coin you get. This makes the usual sound, but has no effect on making a star appear in levels where this is relevant.
Next, silver star numbers will appear. This too has no effect on the silver stars in the level, but makes the sounds and looks the same as if you collected them.
Finally, if the number is set really, really high, the coin total will go back to zero (and display a zero in the usual font), wiping out all coins you collected so far. This happens when you start with numbers such as 89 or 99 red coins.
After a certain number, red coin goop will come out the air bubbles in water. Well, I presume it's this and not blood, but no one can really be sure.
