Diddy Kong Racing Review

Overview:
Diddy Kong Racing is DK's answer to Mario's Mario Kart 64. It has a simple button control system. A means go, B means stop, and move with the stick. It has done something not usually seen in a racing game before. It combined Racing with Adventure. Travel through worlds racing, and beat a boss at the end. An interesting combination, that has earned it some good reviews, but, some bad reviews as well...
What makes DKR different?
DKR is different because, as said, combines two genres into one. It also features the loveable Conker, who soon turns out to be a mental, squirrel who kills. Banjo Kazooie, and a Kremling are also featured, alongwith some not so known characters. It is basically just a version of MK64, except different tracks, items, and characters.
Music style:
As expected, it has pretty bright and colourful tunes, because it was made for a certain age. The music differs from course to course, but they show the theme of the track. Eg. Dino track has jungle music.Others:
DKR doesn't have much else to offer. Only one thing is the choice to drive, hover, or fly, although some courses don't give you the availability of all 3 choices.
Score:
Graphics: N64 graphics, but for the time it was released - 7/10
Music: Pretty childish if you ask me. 4/10
Replayability: You may get frustrated badly before you finish the game. 6/10
Difficulty: Challenging! 8/10
Overall: Rent before you buy. 25/40
Star rating: 3.5
For future reference. 5 is highest for star rating, 1 is lowest.
