The Ultimate Board Map
As you can see, it's parts of 1 huge country split into many regions. You start underneath where the forest is, and cannot go left or right, because to go left, you must break rocks with a hammer from boss 2, and to go right, you must be able to cross water, a skill from boss 1.
The first area is a town, where you can buy items, then you go into a dark forest, with Chain Chomps, Piranha Plants and other evil monsters, until you reach and have to defeat boss 1, a gigantic evil spider beast with a skull icon on it, and get the ability to cross water.
Now, you have to go right, and cross the water. Keep going and past another town, set in a marsh, and go up through the dark bad lands and across the river to a great desert region, and follow the trail through the dusty sands.
You then have to travel through a spooky pyramid, and fight a strange ghoul, which attacks out of the quicksand to get another ability.
Now, you must break the rock near the start and go left, into a dank cave, with lava, waterfalls and many, many obstacles..
You then fight a lava dragon, and go north to a snowy village, avoiding the Mr Blizzard enemies from past Mario games. Then, you go up a high mountain, and fight a strange creature which projects images of enemies as it's attack.
You then can go an fight a giant scorpion like monster, and finally, head to the sky to face another, more powerful, shadow form of that monster. After you win, head all the way to the right and go right and you were meant to go to world 2.
There are also many unlockable secrets, and hidden areas. There's for example a sunkern ship with a octopus like creature to face, and secret powers. This map felt like a whole world, and was one.
