General Boss Guide
The bosses in Metroid Prime Hunters are often seen as a total nightmare to take down for first time players, and because of this, I will write about how to beat the first few bosses, the hunters in general and the guardians (those annoying robots which fire weapons at you and run around the headless chickens).
Cretaphid V1
The first version of Cretaphid, unsuprisingly is also the most simple to defeat. It's main and only attack in normal form are the lasers which spin around the thing, and which you simply must dodge by going over or under them. To defeat the creature though, blast away at the dots on the totem pole like object until they are all gone. Now, blast away at the small object which comes out the top of Cretaphid.
Slench V1
Slench is a semi easy boss for the first time compared to Cretaphid. First, stay at the door, and no laser attacks in it's first form can reach you! So now shoot the tentacles to destroy them, and when they are gone, the eyeball will fly around while attack, so fire your weapons at it to hurt this annoying thing. It will go back to stage 1 after a while, so repeat this all again until it explodes.
Cretaphid V2
The non laser totem pole this time, it now fires small green balls of plasma at your character, which must be avoided. So keep moving like crazy, and shoot the small dots on the object to make the core come out of it. Now blast away at the core to make it's health go down, and repeat the whole process again until Cretaphid falls again.
Slench V2
The eyeball thing has had a change, in that only the Judicator can hurt the tentacle parts that hold the eyeball to the wall. So stay at the door again, and shoot down the them with the Judicator, and then blast all heck into the main eyeball when it flies around. You're lucky this isn't Version 3...
Slench V3
Okay, after just one more area, you meet this pest yet again, this time in the Celestial Archives. However, he has learnt a new attack in his second form. For the first form though, blast the tentacles with the Battlehammer now to detach him from the wall, and read the next part very carefully...
He now flies around like before. However, he will now ram you to do some damage, so when the eyeball closes up, boost away in the Morth Ball to avoid the attack. Now, don't use your pathetic normal weapons! Use the Shock Coil, and you can do tons of damage to the eye, which really, really helps, especially as its auto lock on feature allows you to keep firing while it moves at high speed.
Cretaphid V3
The annoying totem pole returns again, this time bringing back both it's attacks! it now not only has the annoying lasers, but the plasma balls have returned as well. And, as they are faster, you cannot strafe between lasers, but must dodge them as well as the green pests!
So shoot at the dots as usual, and the core will come out. Blast it, I think the Shock Coil should be a good choice again, and this machine will fall again to your weapons.
Edit: It is a good choice! Even I could beat the hell out of it for a decent while and take it down to like a tiny bit of health before death!
Cretaphid V4
I actually found this easier than 3. Just stand on one of the small ledges and you cannot be reached by the pole, and can move from side to side to dodge the green orbs. The Shock Coil is the best weapon as before, so keep using it on the dots and then on the core to do a ton of damage and finish off the Cretaphids once and for all!
Slench V4
Sadly moved from the back wall, and where there's nowhere to hide, Slench is now on the ceiling, and can hit you with his judicator type shots from anywhere in the room. Do not fight head on! Fire the Magmaul at the tentacles, then when the eye rolls around, just stand in the door. Shoot the eye with the Magmaul then while avoiding the icy blasts. Remember that you should hit the green orbs to get health in between attacking, as he can attack fast by ramming (but the rolling attack is a pathetic joke). Keep doing this until the final Slench has fallen.
Gorea
Gorea 1 is actually an extremely easy boss to defeat. However, there is a puzzle you must solve first. Hit the yellow orb with the Volt Driver, then the green with Battlehammer, orange with magmaul, the purple with Judicator, Blue with Shock Coil and finally the red one with the Imperialist. This will cause an effect, and will allow you to fight Gorea 2 after the battle.
Now, dodge the attacks. He will use the Battlehammer if he goes green, so keep rolling away around the outside area in the Morph Ball. Then he'll use the Volt Driver, so just walk away (his shots are too slow). When he uses the Magmaul, just keep moving so the shots miss. Same with the Judicator. Now, when he uses the Imperialist, keep running or rolling, as while it's powerful, his aim is awful, and by dodging, you should avoid harm. When he turns red, now use the Imperialist to destroy his shoulders (but quickly, otherwise he'll use the Shock Coil). The orb will come out. If you are close, you'll have to dodge some attacks by tentacles, so keep moving. If far, he often doesn't attack, so just keep blasting with the Imperialist until his health is one third of the way down. Then repeat.
Note: While not practical, you can attack hims with any weapon when he is the corresponding colour.
Gorea 2
When the cut scene ends and you see him, go to the bottom of the arena. The shield guarding the Omega Cannon will soon fail, so grab it. Now just blast as many shots at Gorea as he teleports, while avoiding his powerful attacks to win. Keep moving to dodge the lasers, and blast the rocks for health. You should eventually win, quite easily in fact (I beat him on my first try).
