Metroid Prime Hunters Casual Enemies

In the other pages about Metroid Prime Hunters, I have wrote about both the actual bosses and mini boss characters, and what they are like, and how to beat them. However, there are so many types of enemies which are not forced battles, so this page will tell you about those groups of enemies.

Alimbic Turrets

These gun turrets, often found on floors or ceilings will, depending on the version, fire a powerful beam or energy blaster at your character. Found in Acterra and Alinos mainly, but also in Vesper Defence Outpost in a few spots, these turrets can easily be disarmed by blasting them with enough shots. Missiles work best.

V1

Fires a relatively normal beam shot at any non alimbic creature.

V1.4

Fires shots at rapid fire pace at any non alimbic creature.

V2.7

Seems to fire what seems like an imperialist beam at any non alimbic creature.

Blastcap

Simply a mushroom, this is mainly harmless until it explodes, when the spores cause damage to anything in the immediate area.

Can be destroyed with any weapon.

Crash Pillar

A pillar that moves, this hops towards your character then leaps high into the air, with the aim of landing on the main character. However, this is when you should shoot at it's base.. when it is in mid-air.

Geemer Species.

Geemer

The weaker spiky backed insect creature, this can be easily disposed using any weapon, and are most often found simply as a minor obstacle in narrow passageways.

Zoomer

A tougher type of Geemer, you have to destroy this using a powerful weapon like missiles or one of the many sub weapons. First found while exploring Acterra.

Ithrak Species

Lesser Ithrak

A weaker Ithrak which seems to move around and charge to attack. Can be destroyed by using any weapon enough.

Greater Ithrak

A tougher version of the Ithrak, this has the same general attacks. Sometimes found hanging from the ceiling, and falls down when you are nearby. You should quickly destroy it on the ceiling for quickest results.

Petrasyl

A minor creature which wanders around many areas aimlessly, this is harmless from any distance. Does minor damage if you touch it due to the corrosive acid it secretes. Can be quickly destroyed with any weapon, and the Power Beam is easiest to use.

Psycho Bit Types

The basic guard droid found in the many areas, these come in quite a variety of types, all which have very different effects from their basic energy blast weapons. The earliest ones fire a simple energy shot at the main character, while the later ones fire more powerful blasts.

V1

Either fires weak shots or slightly more powerful ones via a mini nuclear reactor. Easy enough to destroy, but comes in large numbers at some points.

V2

Not sure. I think this is one that fires vision distorting Volt Driver shots.

V3

This later version fires superheated magma at it's target, and is found in places extremely close to lava or in desert locales, always on Alinos.

V4

This final version fires supercooled plasma at it's target, which seems to have a freezing effect.

All the above versions can come normally, or from blue triangles which are their re-spawn panels, found on floors and ceilings. If that is the case, you must destroy the panels for them to be stopped.

Quadroid

A creepy looking creature engineered from reptile and leech DNA, this thing acts rather like what Metroids acted like, by clinging onto the target and attacking. You can lose it by turning into the Morph Ball and using a bomb. Best destroyed from a distance, these creatures are very rarely encountered in the game.

Shriekbat

A bat which hangs from the ceiling, these use a diving attack to hurt 'intruders', and explode on contact. Can easily be destroyed with any weapon, but best killed from a good distance.

Voldrum Types

These small robots move along the ground and attack with their weapons. They come in many types, such as the Magma Voldrum which shoots magma at its targets. Easy to destroy, but have the annoying factor of coming out of re-spawn panels on the ground.

War Wasp Species

Wasp like insects which fire their stinger at intruders, these annoying creatures have a lot of different types, from the normal War Wasp, the stronger Barbed War Wasp and the Red and Blue Barbed War Wasps. The normal ones fire the stinger which has a normal damage effect, while red ones have Magmaul like stingers and blue ones have Judicator like stingers. These are definetly best to attack from a distance, when they haven't spotted you. They also come out of re-spawn panels which are actually the nests of these things, so destroy those first.
