Mario 64 DS Requirements
Welcome to the star requirements page. This page simply notes how many stars it takes to enter a level/mini level in Super Mario 64 DS.
0 stars- Enter the Castle, and Bob-omb Battlefield. Also, enter the hallway to the courtyard and courtyard for first time.
1 star- Enter Whomp's Fortress, or the Princess secret slide. Also, able to enter the Rec room and make rabbits appear. Can enter Sunshine Isles.
3 stars- Enter Jolly Roger Bay and Cool Cool Mountain. You can also enter the Secret Aquarium.
8 stars- Enter Goomboss Battle and unlock Mario. You can also enter Battle Fort.
10 stars- Fight Bowser for first time
Unknown- Enter the ? switch level
Key from Bowser 1- Enter Lethal Lava Land, Shifting Sand Land, Hazy Maze Cave, Drain Moat. You can also go to Metal Cap Cavern area, speak to first star giving Toad etc.
Sometime after- Unlock Big Boo's Haunt/Big Boo Battle and Luigi
30 stars- Go to Dire Dire Docks
31 stars (or glitch)- Go to Bowser in Fire Sea, and get key to second floor.
Key from second Bowser- Go to second floor and enter Snowman's Land, Wet-Dry World, Tall Tall Mountain, Tiny Huge Island, Chief Chilly Challenge (with Luigi or glitch)/unlock Wario, go behind Mirror. Also, can get second Toad star.
Wario- Enter Under the Moat area.
50 stars- Go to third floor. Also, enter Tick Tock Clock, Rainbow Ride, Over the Rainbow and the final Bowser hallway. However, you cannot reach last Bowser because of endless stairs. Can get third Toad star.
80 stars- Get to Bowser in the Sky, and finish the game story wise.
Pretty much any point- Explore outside of castle
Any time after 1 star- Catch shiny rabbits
