Mario 64 DS Green Shell and Mushroom Locations
Green Shells
Ever want to just surf randomly while destroying things? Ever want to just kill a few enemies, or just have a bit of fun? Well this list does that, and is a list of every single green shell you can ride in the game of Super Mario 64 DS.
Bob-omb Battlefield
From the start, go up the bridge and right and you'll see a Koopa (on the later stars anyway). Stomp it to get the first green shell in the game.
Jolly Roger Bay
For the over land/water shell, break the bricks at the start. This then helps you get the blue coins from the switch nearby. For the underwater green shell, swim forward and down and one of the clams at the bottom of the first sea bed area will have the shell in it.
Cool Cool Mountain
Break the middle red brick behind the giant snowman (the one who you find a body for) to find the fifth green shell in the game.
Lethal Lava Land
Near the start, on the second platform is a black brick. Break the yellow block near the brick to get the shell, which can let you surf on lava.
Shifting Sand Land
Go ahead from the start to find a stone structure. Use a triple jump or back flip to get on top of it, then break the yellow block for another Koopa Shell.
Dire Dire Docks
In the area where you start, go on top of the island with three black bricks. Open the yellow box for a shell.
In the second area, go to the ring out of eight coins on the sea floor near some clams. The nearest clam will have a Koopa Shell inside it.
Snowman's Land
Near where the yellow block with the star for 'Whirl from the Freezing Pond' is, there is another block. Open it for a Shell.
Tiny Huge Island
On the Big Island, go through the opening at the start, and on a beach with a fly guy and Lakitu, you'll find a Koopa. Defeat it for the Koopa Shell.
Sunshine Isles
On one of the small islands is a yellow block. Break it to find another shell.
Mushroom List
Bob-omb Battlefield
You will find the first giant mushroom within a red block near the bob-ombs, cannon and mountain area entrance.
Whomp's Fortress
Break the bricks near the Thwomps.
At the bottom of the fort, follow the path around to the first piranha plant past the fence, and break the nearest red block for a mushroom.
Hazy Maze Cave
Near the boulders is a black brick. Break it for another mushroom.
Another one can be found in a brick in the toxic maze.
Tall Tall Mountain
Break the black brick near the mushroom patch for a mushroom.
Tiny Huge Island
Ground pound a stake near one of the gigantic piranha plants to find a mushroom.
Goomboss Battle
Break one of the red bricks on the thin passages to find a mushroom.
Also, punch Goomboss in the back as Mario to get a Mushroom, and you can then just keep punching him to defeat him.
