New Super Mario Bros Mini Games

Like Super Mario 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros has a neat little array of minigames that you can play if you're bored, of which none have much to do with the main adventure. However, while the Super Mario 64 DS section can cover the minigames that are both found in that game and this one, here's a page for reference about the minigames that are exclusive to New Super Mario Bros.

Action

Snowball Slalom

Aim: Roll the snowball to the finish line by quickly rubbing the touch screen, while trying to get it to dodge Penguins and rocks.

This game was in Super Mario 64 DS. Then, it also had a longer version of the game.

Lakitu Launch

Shoot as many Spinies as possible into the flying shells the Lakitus are carrying. This game also appeared in Super Mario 64 DS.

Danger, Bob-omb! Danger!

A brand new game only found in New Super Mario Bros, this nifty little game with decent theme music has you guiding a Bob-omb to avoid the huge amounts of fireballs and the fire breath of a Mecha Bowser statue in the background.

Whack a Monty

Whack a mole, Mario style! Another game new to New Super Mario Bros, you have to whack as many Monty Moles as possible in the time limit, being careful however to avoid whacking Luigi when he appears.

Balloon Racing

The final new mini game of New Super Mario Bros, this has Yoshi try to reach the airship from Rainbow Ride in Super Mario 64 as quickly as possibly by the player blowing into the microphone. Dodge the Fly Guys!

Puzzle

Wanted

That classic game everyone has maxed out in Super Mario 64 DS, this has you trying to find the face shown on the Wanted Poster in a large crowd, Where's Wally style.

Which Wiggler?

Another returning game where you have to tap the Wiggler that matches the image shown on the top screen.

Hide and Boo Seek

Find Boos by rubbing on the touch screen where you think they'd be. It's another Super Mario 64 DS mini game.

Puzzle Panel

Yet another returning mini game, make the puzzle match the image on the top screen.

Coincentration

A mini game starring Wario, you have to tap the blocks where the coins from the defeated enemy have fallen into. Tap the wrong block, and you lose.

Table

Memory Match

Match the cards. It's like Pairs or whatever that card game is.

Picture Poker

It's a poker type mini game, also from Mario 64 DS.

Pair a Gone

Match the cards either horizontally, vertically or diagonally to make them vanish, and get rid of all the cards to win. It's like oh so many puzzle games that were released.

Variety

Mario's Slides

Draw lines to guide Mario down to the star and not to the Piranha Plants. It's also returning from Mario 64 DS, but might now have a new graphics style.

Sort or 'Splode

Sort the Bob-ombs into correct sections by colour. Mess it up, and the Bob-ombs explode. Again, it's from Super Mario 64 DS.

Bounce and Trounce

Make Mario jump on the Fly Guys by tapping on him to make him go the direction you want.

Bob-omb Squad

Destroy the invading Bob-ombs by shooting bombs at them as they parachute through the air, before they can destroy the flowers. It's kind of like Pyoro, Mario style.

Trampoline Time

Make Mario bounce to safety by drawing trampolines for him to bounce off of.
