Sprung

Sprung was a launch title for the Nintendo DS. Its a dating game/text based adventure. You're a group of friends who travel to a Colorado Ski Resort. You hook up with many women/men (according to what character you play as) during many wacky events. You'll find yourself in hot-tubs, night clubs and parties.

The one redeeming factor of this game is the funny dialogue. You'll laugh many times in the game but the gameplay kills it. You'll have to talk to many characters and have to choose responses. There is no skill in the game just pick random answers until its right. Many times the correct answer is hard to find and you'll find yourself having to replay a single linear stage several times. There is only one correct route of answers so you have to guess/check.

The graphics and sound are very mediocre. Annoying songs and crappy graphics won't help the game any. The game is just generally devoid of fun. It has a lot of replay value but you'll never want to play it again. Several unlockables are there but you'll never have the patience to find them all.

Final Score:

Gameplay - 3

Even though the dialogue is great, the gameplay is linear and a chore to play.

Graphics- 5

The sprites lack character and the animations are used to often.

Sound- 5

The games soundtrack is annoying and repetitive.

Replay Value- 4

If you can play the entire game again with a different characters perspective. Multiple endings and a lot of unlockables. But you won't want to play this again (I did, because im a completionist).

Overall- 17/40
