Bowser
From The DS Ultimate Wiki
Bowser is the long running primary antagonist (aka, main villain) of the Mario series, and a perennial enemy to the Mario Bros. He has appeared in numerous games, often as the villain causing terror to the Mushroom Kingdom, although he has sometimes joined Mario's team, often for his own reason.

Bowser's Survival of the Near Impossible
Basically, a nice quick look at what Bowser has seemingly survived over the years:
- Super Mario Bros 1- Dunked in lava
- Super Mario Bros 2 (Japan)- In lava again
- Super Mario Bros 3- Fell from the top floor of his castle likely into the basement.
- Super Mario World- In malfunctioning copter when it fell off the roof...
- Yoshi's Island- Fell down from mid air after being beaten beaten twice in a row.
- Super Mario 64- Three mines blown up in the face...
- Super Mario Sunshine- Fell from top of the volcano into the ocean with Bowser Jr, Peach and Mario.
New Super Mario Bros- Fell into lava, skin melted off, fell down three floors while a skeleton, revived and fell down another goodness knows how many floors with Bowser Jr.
- Super Mario Galaxy- Fell into the equivalent of the sun as it went supernova.
Bowser is either truly made of iron, or can just never die...

Trivia
- Bowser was referred to as Wart in a German Mario comic book
- Bowser was referred to as King Koopa in the movie and TV series, while in the film, King Toadstool (aka Daisy's father in the film, Peach's father in everything else) was referred to as King Bowser.
- Bowser changes size in nearly every single game depending on the scenario.
