DS Ultimate Forums

The DS Ultimate forums are the message boards of the DS Ultimate site, and an active place for discussion of Nintendo DS games and Nintendo in general. They were first set up, on March 5, 2006, hosted by IPB (now hosted by Zetaboards), and the current vBulletin powered ones were first opened on January 1, 2007. It is a very active place, with roughly 20,000 topics,over 300,000 posts and over 3,100 members. Due to general lack of interest with the internet as a whole, the forums were temporarily locked, on December 14, 2009. It was then re-opened on December 17, 2009 with a couple of new features. On March 27, 2010, DS Ultimate Forums moved from vBulletin to InvisionPlus. This initially caused major controversy amongst members, complaining that certain features were not working, or that they were not satisfied with the new host, however, eventually, everyone got used to the change. Since the DS itself is now in its sixth year (it officially turns 6 on November 21, 2010), DS Ultimate and DS Ultimate Forums are to be re-named to reflect more recent or upcoming systems, as well as to reflect the fact that the forums are not solely related to the DS, but to Nintendo as a whole (although non-Nintendo discussion is allowed). It is unknown when the renaming will take place, and no new name has been decided yet, although cheat-master30 is currently asking suggestions from members.
