A little you
The introduction of the Mii was a different, weird, and interesting idea made by Nintendo. It allowed players to create an 'avatar' of sorts that represented their real life selves. Anything from weight and height to your nose shape could be adjusted. All of the things that can be adjusted are:
- Name
- Birthdate
- Gender
- Favourite Colour
- Height
- Weight
- Hairstyle
- Eyebrows
- Nose
- Mouth
- Facial Features (Glasses, wrinkles, facial hair, etc.)
Where is the Mii in Wii?
What else does a Mii do apart from be cute and appear in the corner of letters or memos? Miis can appear in Wii games, both playable and to add to the scenery! Good examples of these sorts of games include:
- Mario Party 8 (Miis were playable and in the background. Possibly the first game to do this)
- Mario Kart Wii (In the crowd and playable as drivers. Also, Mii Heads could be put on character's bodies, eg. Mii Head on Mario Body)
- Super Mario Galaxy (could be used as save file icons)
For information on other channels, visit the Wii Menu page.
Trivia
- Mii is believed to have simply derived from the 'W' in Wii being turned upside down.
