Photo Channel

From The DS Ultimate Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

This channel allows you to view photos and videos taken from a camera on the television. You'll need an SD card or SD Card Convertor (For Micro SD Cards and such) to view them, though, as the Wii only has a normal SD Slot. When in the Photo Channel, you flick through your photos, or modify them to your heart's content.

Viewing Photos

When viewing photos, use the remote to flick through them. Hitting right on the control pad will go to the next photo, and hitting left will go to the previoius photo. Pressing '+' will zoom in, and pressing '-' will zoom out. Holding B and moving the remote will then pan across the photo, which is useful when you are zoomed in. Holding 1 or 2 will pixelate an area around the cursor.

Editing Photos

When viewing a photo, hit the Fun! Button in the corner to open up a menu. From there, you'll be given three choices:

  • Doodle
  • Mood
  • Puzzle

Doodle is a feature where you can draw on any photo with an array of colours, and even shove in a couple clip-art (which is mostly sparkles and glasses) to jazz things up.

In Mood, you can change how the Photo's colour looks. This can be from Grayscale to Sepia Tone, and much more.

Selecting Puzzle lets you have a quick (or long) puzzle, depending on how many pieces the puzzle has (you can choose how many pieces there are). If you finish a puzzle in record time, the data will be saved along with the photo you finished the puzzle with. The number of pieces are 6, 12, 24 and 48.

Triva

  • In Puzzle Mode, when selecting how many pieces, pressing 1 will enable a 100+ piece puzzle for an extreme challenge.
  • A tiny black cat can be seen wandering about the top of some menus. Quickly grab the cat by moving your cursor over it and pressing 'A' and you will receive a tip about the Photo Channel.
