Wii Shop Channel

You can only access the Wii Shop Channel if you have a Wi-Fi connection to the wii. The Wii Shop Channel has four different options, Virtual Console, Wii Channels, edit account and WiiWare.

Virtual Console

A part of the Wii Shop Channel. It allows you to purchase past Nintendo and some Sega games with Wii Points.

Systems

The virtual console has the following systems that have downloadable games:

  • NES
  • SNES
  • Nintendo 64
  • Sega Master System
  • Sega Genesis
  • TurboGrafx-16 and CD
  • Commodore 64
  • Neo-Geo
  • Arcade

Games

Many of the more popular games are available, but for few exceptions. Imported games from Japan are also released onto the VC. The games are also slightly more expensive than normal games. Some games include Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Sin & Punishment, and Alien Soldier.
